About me
Quilts by Ami was first created due to friendly demand. I have made many quilts for family, friends, new arrivals etc – and the word spread, and others wanted one too. And so Quilts by Ami was born…
My skill at choosing prints, coordinating solid colours and designs to suit those colours and prints have assisted in enabling me to create exquisitely designed individual quilts, that are made to be loved, used and enjoyed for many years.
I still get very excited whenever I am about to begin a new project, I like to lay out the fabrics before selecting the one that will be perfect for what I have in mind. All the quilts are 100% made by me, from the very first cut, to the last hand stitch in the binding.
In my home and homes of family and friends, quilts that I have lovingly made are on beds, backs of sofas and on the walls, they are so versatile, and I get a little thrill whenever I see someone, using one of my creations.
